Resident Evil requiem Review

Continuing the story of Resident Evil, Requiem is a solid installment in the franchise. From the story to the gameplay there isn’t much to not love. The game is best of both worlds, following two main protagonist, there are sections where you play as Grace – someone who’s new to the series – and her gameplay plays more into the intense survival horror like RE7. Then on other sections you get to play as Leon, who is more of the classic RE formula – having more action packed combat than horror.

Resident Evil Requiem’s story does a great job at continuing the series story, from taking you back to Raccoon city after the bomb drop, to shedding more light into the current world of RE. While the story is good despite its hiccups, it is pretty short, taking me personally around 12 hours to beat, that’s including me exploring as much as I could. The game is definitely on the easier side for RE – it’s a lot more forgiving and plenty of supplies throughout the game to make it practically a breeze walk, especially during the Leon sections. All in all, Resident Evil Requiem is still a fantastic game with a good enough story, gameplay and some replay ability.
